Potty Talk

Now, I can't reveal my sources, but my informant on the inside has just given word that the source of all of the "bad words and devil things" that seem to plauge my Connor lately are the result of a bad kid at school he has decided to befriend (which we are aware of, and has since been expelled) and tv shows called Tuff Puppy and Kick Buttowski (nice, you should be ashamed Disney XD) which my informant claims that he watches when we aren't looking, and warned that it was a secret.

Little booger head!

This comes after he just got in trouble for looking up "inappropriate words" in the dictionary at school.

It's like anything I told him that was bad and to stay away from, he's decided to thoroughly research and engross in.

Extremely frustrating.

After talking with friends and some good old fashioned research I learned that this is a coming of age thing.

Makes me, for the first time ever, want to countdown the days until his birthday year that will finally get us out of this!

But then I guess the teenage years aren't far behind and I definitely don't want to rush that.

Makes me miss my sweet little boy who would look at me appalled if anyone even said the word "hate".
We have a whole list of bad words that aren't allowed in our house but they are extremely mild compared to the ones the rest of the world uses.

Also makes me want to lash out irrationally at the incompetent parents of Connor's little "friend".

Yeah, your ignorance in parenting is now affecting me, so don't be surprised when I go Mamma bear on you and you suddenly find yourself without the use of your jaw.

Let's see how easily those foul words flow then.

Unfortunatley no matter what school he goes to, this was bound to happen eventually, short of home school.
But then you always have friends along the way to shed the awful light so even then they're not fully protected.

Breaks my heart for my sweet children.

I know I can't protect them from this kind of stuff forever, unfortunately it's the world we live in. All I can do is make sure they make the right decision about who their true friends are, what to say, how to act appropriately, and who to be.

Can't help it, it scares me.
