Date Night In

Mr. Kiggins said the sweetest thing to me this weekend.
I had to get fabric to recover one of our dining room chairs that broke.
Apparently they weren't meant to have a 6'4" 225 pound linebacker stand on them.
It was hilarious!
I digress...

Anyhoo, so Mr. Kiggins ventured with me to the fabric store. I was standing at the counter waiting for the lady to cut my fabric from the bolt when a man came up to me and asked if I thought the brightly colored fabric he picked would be good to make something for a girly girl.
I told him I did, then he explained that he makes these memory boxes out of wood and yada yada.
Then asked me to check out his business on facebook...

Well, I got my fabric settled, exchanged pleasantry farewells to the stranger and went on my way.
Then Mr. Kiggins paid me the sweetest compliment.
He said...
"It takes a lot of guts for a guy to just walk up and start talking to a girl that looks like you."

*swoon*

Oh, and the chair's look good. I can't take any credit though, Mr. Kiggins did all the work.
And he hung curtains,
and ran all the laundry,
and cleaned the whole house...
He's so amazing.

And me?

Well, I crocheted a lovey for Adalyn.

Turned about pretty darn cute too.

The kids were away with their Grandparents all weekend.

Mr. Kiggins and I took full advantage and enjoyed an impromptu date night in.

We had a gourmet romantic dinner, brought in by one of the many amazing church friends I have that have been bringing our family meals every night for the past 2 months to help us out while I've been hurt.
(amaaaaaaazing friends! Thank you so much!!)

Coupled this with a movie, some candles, the fireplace lit, some sparkling cider, and some good old fashioned footsie's.
That's like making out for us right now

So Romantic!

The Mrs.
